Breathe in the light - new years retreat

A new year dawns and we welcome both winter’s invitation to deep rest and the inspiration of returning light, post solstice. Join us for a day of healing practises, inner explorations, time in nature and home made food. This retreat is the first to be held in our new roundhouse sound temple on the lizard peninsula, near Helford. We welcome very small groups into our home for an intimate and unique experience.

The day begins with a welcome circle, before diving into our yin yoga practise. Yin is a meditative style of yoga where we surrender into simple postures for three minutes or more. Guided by the breath we drop into the subtler, darker layers of body and mind, stimulating organs and energy channels. Through yin’s opening and stillness we are able to receive the healing vibrations of gongs, crystal bowls and elemental instruments more deeply, into each and every cell. We pause for a simple shared lunch (plant based) and quiet time before heading off into nature for walking meditation and (optional/ weather dependent) sea swim! Then it’s back to the roundhouse for chai and yoga nidra. In this adaptogenic practise, awareness is guided through body, breath and sound on a meditative inner journey. We close the day with a new year ceremony to attune to the return of light and inspiration.
