A concert for peace & hope - Beltane special at ZedShed - with special guests

  • Zedshed Jubillee Wharf, Comercial Road TR10 8FG United KIngdom (map)

This year we are dedicating our Beltane event at ZedShed to gathering together in peace and hope., sharing our sounds, voices and intentions which have great creative power. The turbulence and suffering of the world can feel overwhelming at times but there are things we can do. We can continue to cultivate peace within ourselves through meditation and healing work and we can offer to share the fruits of our shared practises wherever it is needed.

I will be joined by my partner Andy who is a singer songwriter creating original acoustic guitar music which sharply observes life and plants seeds of hope and awareness. Plus our friend, medicine harpist Sadie, Rosanna, an intuitive singer songwriter, musician and sound journey healer. She performs gentle and intuitive ‘Luna medicine harp’ songs of her own creation and sings mantras to support sound healing and wellbeing. In between these sections of beautiful music I will share a sound bath of gongs, crystal bowls and other ancient instruments. We will have over 1.5 hours of healing sound with opportunities to use your own voice, sit and listen and lay down and completely let go.

We three artists will be donating the proceeds of this evening to Shelterbox who provide emergency shelter and supplies to people affected by disaster and conflict, including currently in Ukraine. Of course it is great to give in material form but we feel the gathering together is equally important - to have a heart led space where we can feel and be held.

We have created three options for contribution and you can choose what you are able to give: the regular exchange for our 1.5hrs sound journey is £13. You can also give £15, £20. The options are there when you book your ticket below. We also welcome anyone who is in need of healing to contact us, your presence is a great contribution to the whole.

  • Please speak to Ali before booking if you have tinnitus, epilepsy, pace maker, if you are pregnant or have metal implants from recent surgery - or with any other health concerns.

  • You will need to bring all your own equipment - yoga mat or something to lay on, pillow, blanket/s, warm socks - many people like to use an eye pillow and cushions or bolster under the back of their knees.
