Welcome to this 7 week healing exploration of yoga and sound, created especially for women on the journey of menopause; from the late reproductive stage into peri and post menopause. We begin at Samhain, the Celtic new year, a time associated with the subtler realms; moving into deep rest at the beginning a new cycle; the wise woman.
We will share a weekly practice of nurturing yoga designed to support your mind and body amid a changing hormonal landscape. It is also a possibility to celebrate transitioning into a new chapter of spiritual growth.
As we transition into menopause the fluctuating then declining levels of oestrogen, progesterone (and melatonin) can be expressed as a variety of symptoms for example anxiety, sleep issues, ‘brain fog’, hot flushes, muscle aches, changing libido and struggling to ‘cope’.
The combination of specific techniques (movement, breath, voice, relaxation, meditation) that you can build into your daily life with immersive sound journeys will help open to your own innate wisdom and healing resources. Amongst many benefits, sound healing has a profound impact on the vagus nerve inviting a state of deep recalibration and rest, which is essential as the effects of stress can be more pronounced during the menopausal transitions. It is a very simple way to receive the benefits of meditation.
Supportive community is essential at this time of life and so we offer live sharing circles. The group will be limited to 12 women making sure everyone gets the individual support they need; including a 121 zoom call with me and self reflection practices.
