The gong puja is a transformational all night ceremony which we love to offer for Samhain, the Celtic New Year, a time of deep restoration and permeability. Receive healing sound for over 8 hours from the comfort of your own ‘sound nest’.
For the last 7 years we have held the puja at Roselidden Farm near Helston, a beautiful long barn in quiet countryside, created with loving energy. The gong puja was envisioned by Don Conreaux, one of the original teachers of the way of the gong; he saw that putting 10 sound healings together in a ceremonial context created a powerful opportunity for energetic realignment. With deep respect for its origins, we offer the puja in a way which reflects our intentions for sharing of sacred sound and sacred space.
For the puja you will bring your bedding into the space and spend the whole night in a cocoon of vibrations from 8 high quality planetary and symphonic gongs. Ali and Cecilia hold a sacred, safe space for your healing as the gongs are played continuously for 8+ hours by experienced practitioners.
We gather for an opening circle with meditation, sharing and intention setting then move into silence as the gongs begin to play. Please note the level of sound remains continuous through the night allowing you to drift into a transformative sleep or state of rest like no other!
After the gongs finish in the morning there will be a deep silence, before guided integration through movement and breath. We create a grounding breakfast before the closing circle. Herbal teas and water are available through the night.
What to wear
The space is warm with underfloor heating and wood burner, however please dress warmly in layers and warm socks and be aware you will be laying still on the floor through the night.
What to bring
A closed flask/cup for any drinks brought into the space
Something to lay on that is appropriate for your body’s needs (e.g. several layers of yoga mats, camping mat or inflatable mattress – nothing that squeaks please)
Covers such as duvet, sleeping bag, blankets, a hot water bottle if you need
A pillow or cushion for your head and a scarf or eye pillow to shade your eyes ( we will need to have some low lighting in the space)
