A meeting of like-minded souls, sound & nature. We gather at this peaceful & powerful sacred site in celebration of Lughnasadh, which represents the first harvest in the Celtic calendar. Giving thanks to nature for her abundance; looking inwards to recognise our own gifts of power & plenty, perhaps in ways we never imagined.
We provide heart warming cacao tonics on arrival; the sound begins with chanting before moving into the gongs, crystal bowls and hang drum. Against a backdrop of silence are the rustling of ancient trees and birdsong, interacting with the gongs amid the old stones. All are welcome to watch, sit, meditate and relax with us. We invite you to placing offerings at the famous Madron well to close the gathering.
Please read carefully what you need to bring - we are fully outdoors and the concert will take place in the partly tumbled down chapel, so there aren't yoga mats, toilets or chairs! During the concert you may like to stand or sit on the floor/ on the old stone benches. We will try and accommodate anyone who has difficulty sitting or standing first. The concert is dependent on weather so pls ensure I have your mobile number when booking!
Please bring: a yoga mat, cushion or something to sit on (you may like to cover it with a bin bag), warm layers of clothing (and a waterproof jacket), drinking water, sturdy shoes (its a 5-10 min walk from the car park), something small & personal to offer on the wishing tree and anything you like to place on the seasonal altar in the chapel (fruits, flowers, stones etc). We are encouraging car shares as there is limited parking or public transport. Please make your booking and let me know if you can offer lifts or require one.
Early bird £10/ £12 thereafter - includes cacao & concert. Pre-booking only please.
