Welcome to 'Rooted Rhythms’, an Earth Sea Sky Autumnal retreat at a hidden location in the South Helford area of Cornwall. Our group of 8 women will share 4 nights in a historic farmstead with private swimming pool, beautiful gardens and secret path down to ancient woodland and wild swimming at Tremayne Quay.
At the heart of the programme is deepening your connection with sacred sound and the rhythms of nature. Explore your own creative nature, supported by grounding practises from the yoga traditions and the spiritual heritage of our land. As well as receiving powerful sound journeys daily there will be opportunities to participate with sound, with a particular emphasis on working with the drum. Three delicious plant based meals daily are created by our chef Nicky and there is an invitation to drink ceremonial cacao prepared by Ali.
Moving into Autumn, nature’s invitation is to slow down, ground, process, release. This is our favourite time for swimming and walking, savouring the quiet woodland and warm waters here on the Lizard Peninsula. Each morning begins with 2 hours of moving, breathing, sitting and being together. The afternoon sessions will focus on sound journeying with gongs, crystal bowls and an array of ancient instruments.
Every evening we have a special activity such as harp sound bath, chanting circle, drumming and fire ceremony. Throughout the retreat we will create moments to reflect and share; free time to walk and swim as a group or to rest and enjoy your own space and quiet.

She will be holding the space for you throughout, guiding practises that help you open to the power of sacred sound. Ali is based just around the corner from Tremayne House and cannot wait to share the magic of her local area with the group. Earth Sea Sky retreats are curated by Ali to help us honour our bodies and the land, heal and find a sense of wholeness and expand our visions and possibilities.
Our chef for the retreat is Nicky, who is passionate about creating healthy and nutritious plant-based food, infused with heart and soul. Think freshly-baked bread, warming nourishing soups, exotic tagines and curries, colourful trays of roasted vegetables, vibrant salads, and tasty sweet treats. Nicky cooks in harmony with the seasons, embracing local ingredients, sustainable farming practises, and organic produce. Nicky is also a professional musician and therapeutic sound-artist. On one evening of our retreat she will be treating us to a magical sound journey, using Celtic Harp, gentle drums, and soothing lullaby voice.
