Thank you so much for choosing to join this virtual circle of women!
This specially created 7 week journey of yoga and sound runs from 2nd Nov - 14th Dec 2022. We begin at Samhain, the Celtic new year, a time when we are moving into deep rest, the unseen, the unknown, at the start of a new cycle. Live sessions are Wednesdays 7-9pm. You will access all content here using your members log in. Live sessions are via zoom (link to follow below).
What’s involved:
Each week we will share a yoga practise created around relevant themes. You will learn techniques to support mind and body amid the changing hormonal landscape of the menopause journey, including: intuitive movement, yoga asana, pranayama, mudra and meditation. We will also explore the healing power of sound with sound journeys using gongs, singing bowls and other sacred instruments.
Please allow yourself at least 2 hours of space each week to follow the weekly content. Plus time to self practise even if that’s just a daily ‘yoga snack’ some days.
The yoga and sound will be recorded for you to enjoy and repeat in your own time. We ask that you join weeks 1,4 and 7 live as these include wisdom sharing circles. These circles are held in sacred confidentiality and love so that we can learn from each other and feel the silent, unconditional support of other women - sharing circles are NOT recorded.
Summary of the journey:
7 x 60 mins weekly yoga practises with recordings for you to follow in your own time
3 x 15 ins yoga snack videos for when you have less time
4 x 40 mins sound journeys with recordings for you to follow in your own time
3 x mini sound meditations leading into wisdom sharing circles (weeks 1,4,7)
1 x 20 mins 121 zoom call with me exploring your personal practice and questions

What you’ll need:
We recommend you invest in good quality speakers or headphones (not bluetooth). See resources page for suppliers.
Yoga/ sound kit - a yoga mat (go for decent thickness and joint support), yoga bolster (you can also use a firm sausage shaped cushion from the sofa or a thick blanket rolled around a yoga mat), 1-2 yoga blocks (I recommend two of the yoga brick style - some thick books would also work for most things) and a resistance band (a dressing gown belt or strong scarf as an alternative). Having a thick and a thin blanket handy are great resources for propping in yin and restorative. Many people like to use an eye pillow during relaxation. There are recommended suppliers on the resources page. You will also need a blanket or two and a pillow for the sound journey. Some people like to lay on a blanket or sheep skin as well, to give extra padding during the extended laying period.
You will also need a phone, tablet, laptop or desktop to watch the classes and listen to the sound journeys - larger screens are often easier for yoga. Zoom needs to access your microphone and camera especially for the sharing circles. Please be aware of how to use the chat and put your video on speaker/ group view.
You may like to have a dedicated journal for self reflection during sessions and your own practise.
